I. Assessment of Baseline Data

How many messages and teachings focus on instruction in worship?

II. Council Devotional - Stewardship as Worship

Emphasis on primacy of worship as our response to God, with particular focus on worship through giving our time, talents, treasure, and truth. Discuss how these can be incorporated into existing services.

III. Service Messages - 4 week series

  • Worshipping God With our Time
  • Worshipping God With our Talent
  • Worshipping God With our Treasure
  • Worshipping God With our Truth

IV. Sunday School/Small Group - Simultaneous “Our Reasonable Worship”

  • Making God a priority - emphasis on personal, family, and corporate worship
  • Manifesting God in our lives - emphasis on using our gifts in daily living and focused ministry opportunities
  • Worshipping God, not mammon - contrast comparison of worldly versus scriptural value systems
  • Worshipping God in Spirit and Truth - leading our lives in obedience, transparency, and creativity

V. Re-evaluate baseline data at 3 and 12 months

  • Messages and teachings
  • Changes in worship formats

VI. Other Ways to Reinforce Teaching

  • Have particular emphasis in worship from time to time
  • Include informational inserts in bulletins
