Faculty Member Biographies_________________________
Donald W. HohenseeDonald
W. Hohensee graduated from Cascade College with a B. A. in Speech, from
Western Evangelical Seminary with a M. Div. in Theology, and from Fuller
Theological Seminary with a Th.M. and a D.Miss. in Missiology.
Dr. Hohensee served as a missionary in Burundi, East Africa with World Gospel Mission for 15 years. For 12 years he was Professor of Missions and Church Growth at Western Evangelical Seminary, and from 1992-1999 he was Vice President of Field Ministries for WGM. Currently he is the Western Regional Director for WGM.
David G. LeRudDavid G. LeRud has a B.A. in Music/Christian Education from George Fox University and an M. Div. in Pastoral Ministry from Western Evangelical Seminary. Rev. LeRud has served a number of churches as Minister of Worship. He was an adjunct professor at Western Evangelical Seminary; he has also led many seminars on worship for the Evangelical Church. David currently serves as Music Minister at Oregon City Evangelical Church.
Darrell MishlerDarrell Mishler graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Education; from Western Evangelical Seminary with an M.A. in Counseling and Biblical Studies; and from Oregon State University with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology/Curriculum Development and Family Studies. He holds credentials for "Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Advanced Certification" with the National Christian Counselors Association. Dr.
Mishler is currently on staff at South Albany Community Church. His
responsibilities include pastoral care and education of the family.
Dr.
Bruce MoyerBruce Moyer has a BA in Bible and Theology from Vennard College, an M.Div. in Christian Ministry from Wesley Biblical Seminary, a Th.M. in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Marquette University. Dr. Moyer was ordained by the Evangelical Church in 1980. He has served his denomination as a pastor from 1975-1980, a missionary to Bolivia from 1980-1985, and as Director of Missions. He taught at Vennard College from 1988-1995. In 1996 he became the academic dean at Circleville Bible College, and in 2000 he became the dean of Vennard College.
Allen C. OdellAllen C. Odell graduated from Cascade College with a B. A. in Speech, from Western Evangelical Seminary with an M. Div. in Christian Education, and has a D. Min. from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Odell pastored churches in Oregon and Washington for 15 years before becoming an Adjunct Professor of Christian Education in 1973 at Western Evangelical Seminary. In 1980 he became Professor of Christian Education, a position he held until his retirement. In addition to these responsibilities Dr. Odell was Conference Director of Christian Education for 16 years.
Delmer C. RansdellAfter serving in the military during WW II, Delmer C. Ransdell graduated with a B. A from Cascade College. Following that he graduated from Western Evangelical Seminary with an M. Div. in Theology; he also has a D. Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Ransdell has pastored a number of churches in Oregon, Washington and Indiana. He has been instrumental in the founding of three churches. He also served World Gospel Mission as Director of Men With Vision for eight years. Dr. Ransdell is currently retired but continues to serve his denomination as an interim pastor.
John F. SillsJohn F. Sills graduated from Cascade College with a B. A. in Speech, from Western Evangelical Seminary with a M. Div. in History and Philosophy, and from the University of Oregon with an M. A. He also has a Ph. D. in Speech Communication from the University of Oregon. Dr. Sills has pastored a number of churches in Oregon and Washington. Currently he is the General Superintendent of the Evangelical Church. He also serves on the boards of a number of interdenominational organizations.
William H. VermillionWilliam H. Vermillion is a graduate of Washington State University with a B. a. in English; the University of Washington, with an M. a. in Comparative Literature; Western Evangelical Seminary, M. Div.; and the University of Washington, Ph. D. in Comparative Literature. Dr. Vermillion taught at Western Evangelical Seminary from 1976-1997 as Professor of Biblical Studies and Counseling. He has pastored the Oregon City and Valley View Evangelical Churches. He is currently serving as General Superintendent over the Evangelical Church denomination across the United States.
